Welcome to Nellis Air Force Base in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. We at Nellis have made it our priority to ensure all of our military riders have access to the tools and training necessary for a safe, responsible, and enjoyable ride. This site was designed to provide military riders and their families with a central point to access the necessary information regarding motorcycle safety and training for the military community.

Nellis AFB provides three different training courses to military members and their families, and are certified through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). These courses include Level 1 - Initial Rider Training, Level 2 - Skills Practice, and Follow-On TrainingClick on the Courses Offered tab above, for a brief description of what the course entails and to determine which class is appropriate for you.

Courses are available to all Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, and Retired military personnel, plus military dependents, DOD civilian employees and contractors, and disabled Veterans who have access onto Nellis AFBMilitary personnel assigned to Nellis and Creech AFBs have FIRST PRIORITY to course slots, and others may attend on a space available basis.

Training on Nellis AFB is not open to the general public; you must have base access with your own DoD ID card.  Veterans must obtain a base access card from the Visitor Control Center prior to attending, and cannot obtain that card on the day of class.
